digital school

Errickson has been recognized as a Common Sense Digital Citizenship Certified School.  This honor recognizes Mrs. Segarra's efforts in teaching digital literacy and citizenship to our students. Congratulations to everyone for working hard to become digital citizens!

book reports

This year, 2nd graders wanted to show their skills by writing about a special book they chose in class or at the library.  Not only did they spend time reading and typing their book reports, they also made sure they were presentable for all to see on the computer.  Students were able to give enough details and even recommendations for other to read their books as well.  Click here to enjoy the book reports!

The kindergarteners have been learning about the life cycle of a butterfly.  They read books, did research, and even watched a caterpillar turn into a butterfly in their classrooms!  To show what they learned, the kindergarteners created presentations with Google Slides.  Click here to see the presenations.

flag  Many MWES classrooms participated in PowToon's "Let's Make a Soldier Smile" by creating videos to honor those who have served and are currently in the United States military. If you know a soldier, please consider sending him/her the link to our videos so we can spread smiles across the globe. Check out the videos here.

art showcase

The MWES Art Gallery is now online!  Check out this new website to view samples of student work from the 2014-2015 school year.  Click here to view the gallery.

The 1st graders have been working hard to express themselves through opinion writing.  Students thought about their favorite toys or restaurants and paired up with other students who shared their same opinions.  Each group wrote a review and published it as a commercial.  Click here to check out their commercials so you can decide, "Which restaurant is the best?" and "Which toy is the best?"

30 hands

Mrs. Pope-Tucker and Miss Vigorito's second graders learned about pourquois tales, fictional narratives that explain why something is the way it is.  For example, a pourquois tale could explain why a snake has no legs or why a zebra has stripes.  The students then wrote their very own tales and published them using an app on the iPads, called 30 Hands.  Click here to check out their amazing work!

Throughout the implementation of the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act, our district continues to further enhance our trainings, programs and procedures relative to harassment, intimidation and bullying as evidenced in the attached Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights District and School Grade Report
